Elixir 11000 Polyweb 80/20 Bronze 10-47 Extra Light

Elixir Polyweb 11000 strings are designed for acoustic guitars and offer a warm tone with a long lifespan. Thanks to the special POLYWEB coating, the winding is protected from corrosion and dirt, which extends their life. Extra Light tension (10–47) ensures comfortable playing and easy bending. The steel core with 80/20 bronze winding contributes to a full and rich sound that you will appreciate every time you play.

POLYWEB coating

POLYWEB coating technology is the key feature of these strings. A thin polymer layer covers the entire winding of the string and protects it from dirt, sweat, and oxidation. This significantly extends the tone life, which retains its characteristics many times longer than uncoated strings. This coating also contributes to a warmer, fuller sound and reduces unwanted finger squeak, which increases playing comfort.

Sound and playing characteristics

The combination of materials and tension defines the sound character and playability of the strings. The steel core provides strength and tuning stability, while the 80/20 bronze winding adds clarity and resonance. Thanks to the POLYWEB coating, the resulting tone is warmer and more balanced. Extra Light tension reduces string tension, making it easier to bend notes and allowing comfortable playing even for longer periods. The strings are therefore suitable for guitarists who prefer a softer touch.
