Proven Controls with Modern Features

With most of its smartwatches, Garmin favours the use of classic buttons, and the Forerunner 645 Optic Black is no exception. This system has the advantage of allowing demanding training in the rain, in winter or during swimming, situations where many modern touch controls fail. It is also worth mentioning an integrated barometric altimeter that can accurately measure not only the altitude, but also the speed of the climb.

What makes smartwatches clever are their multi-sport functions. The Forerunner 645 offers individual profiles for running outside or on the treadmill, cycling indoors or outdoors, swimming, elliptical training, paddle sports, strength training and a host of other sports. It is also equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth, ANT+ and NFC technology. You can dive with it without fear because it withstands water pressure up to a depth of 50m. This is not the most advanced Garmin model, so it is important to note that it is unable to measure your heartbeat while swimming, does not have a special feature for outdoor swimming or golf, and cannot be connected to cycling power metres.
