The GIGABYTE B850 AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboard is built on the AMD B850 chipset for the AMD AM5 socket and offers an ATX format with an emphasis on high compatibility with cases from various manufacturers. Thanks to its advanced digital power delivery with 14+2+2 phases (in a 7+7 parallel configuration) and a six-layer printed circuit board (PCB) with a double copper layer, it ensures stable operation even during demanding overclocking. The board supports AMD Ryzen™ 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors, while the X3D Turbo Mode lets you unlock gaming performance comparable to X3D processors with a single click – delivering up to 18% higher frame rates, depending on the game.

Next-generation expansion slots and storage
There are two PCIe x16 slots available – one PCIe 5.0 equipped with PCIe UD Slot technology with all-metal reinforcement, which provides 1.7× higher shear resistance and 3.2× better retention strength, while the second slot offers PCIe 4.0 x4. For storage, there are four M.2 slots (two PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4) with the innovative screwless M.2 EZ-Latch Click and M.2 EZ-Latch Plus system. Classic storage drives can be connected via two SATA III ports.
Advanced cooling options
The massive VRM heatsink with a fourfold cooling surface area and all-metal cooling design maintain optimal temperatures for the power circuits. The M.2 EZ-Flex system reduces SSD temperature by up to 12°C thanks to its flexible base and efficient heat dissipation. The M.2 Thermal Guard L with reinforcement provides up to six times more effective heat dissipation, while the M.2 Thermal Guard Ext. covers three M.2 slots and reduces temperature by up to 7°C with its system of small ventilation holes. The Smart Fan 6 function allows for detailed adjustment of cooling curves for quiet and efficient operation.
Memory features and AI optimisation
Four dual-channel DDR5 slots support overclocking up to 8200MHz with AMD EXPO™ technology. Advanced D5 Bionic Corsa technology and the AORUS AI SNATCH feature with artificial intelligence support automatically optimise memory timings for increased performance. The AI-driven printed circuit board (PCB) design improves signal integrity, and the HyperTune BIOS with advanced AI optimisation ensures stability even during demanding overclocking.
