The Grandstream GWN7603 WiFi Access Point is a compact dual-band device that uses the 802.11ac Wave-2 standard with WiFi 5 technology. It provides an aggregate wireless throughput of up to 1.27Gb/s and is designed for indoor wall mounting. Its key feature is the integration of four gigabit ports, which expand connectivity options. One uplink port receives power via PoE/PoE+, while two other ports with PSE functionality can power other devices, such as IP phones. For efficient handling of multiple clients simultaneously, it uses 2×2:2 MU-MIMO technology on both frequency bands. With a signal range of up to 100 metres and the ability to serve more than 100 devices, it is an effective solution for small and medium-sized business networks.

Wi-Fi performance and speed
The access point operates on two bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz, which helps to optimise network performance. On the 2.4GHz band, it offers transfer speeds of up to 300Mb/s, suitable for general internet activities and older devices. On the 5GHz band, it provides speeds of up to 867Mb/s, which is important for more data-intensive activities like video streaming or fast file transfers. The total aggregate throughput of both bands is 1.27Gb/s, supported by 802.11ac Wave-2 technology for efficient data flow management.
Network coverage and capacity
The device provides signal coverage with a range of up to 100 metres, while the internal antennas optimise even signal distribution. Thanks to its optimised performance, it handles the simultaneous connection of more than 100 client Wi-Fi devices. This capacity meets the needs of environments with a higher concentration of users. Additionally, support for up to 16 separate SSIDs (8 per radio) enables detailed network segmentation, such as separating guest access from the internal corporate network, thus increasing both clarity and operational security.
Advanced security and management
To protect the network, it supports WEP, WPA/WPA2-PSK, and WPA/WPA2 Enterprise encryption standards, as well as the modern WPA3. The device integrates advanced security features, including anti-hacking secure boot and data integrity checks using digital signatures. Each unit has a unique security certificate and a random default password. Management is made easy with access via the cloud and a mobile app. The QoS (Quality of Service) feature prioritises delay-sensitive traffic.
Connectivity
The access point includes four gigabit Ethernet ports for flexible connectivity. One uplink port supports power via PoE/PoE+. Two ports with PSE functionality power other connected devices, such as IP phones or cameras. The last port serves as a standard Ethernet connection. It supports PoE 802.3af and 802.3at power standards, expanding placement options without the need for direct electrical wiring.
