The Grandstream GWN7604 Wi-Fi 6 access point is a compact yet powerful device, ideal for deployment in small to medium-sized businesses, home offices or commercial spaces. With support for the Wi-Fi 6 standard, it achieves a combined wireless throughput of up to 3Gbps. This dual-band device operates simultaneously on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, where it delivers speeds of up to 3000Mbps. An integrated 4-port Gigabit switch with PoE expands its functionality into a versatile network infrastructure element. Three internal antennas and MU-MIMO technology ensure efficient signal distribution and a stable connection for a large number of users.

Performance and speed with Wi-Fi 6
The access point uses the 802.11ax standard, known as Wi-Fi 6, for higher speeds and better network efficiency. The device is dual-band and supports operation on both frequencies. It achieves its speed on the 2.4GHz band thanks to 2×2:2 MU-MIMO technology, and on the 5GHz band with a 3×3:2 MU-MIMO configuration. This configuration allows it to serve multiple devices simultaneously without any drop in performance. The total wireless throughput is 3000Mbps, while maintaining backward compatibility with older 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards.
Coverage and capacity
The access point offers signal coverage up to 100m, which allows for flexible placement within indoor spaces. The device can handle up to 256 concurrent clients. This high capacity is supported by Wi-Fi 6 technology, which more efficiently manages data flows and reduces latency in high-density client environments such as offices, schools or hotels. This provides a stable connection for all users.
Security and centralised management
To protect the network, the device supports advanced WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise and WPA3 encryption protocols. The security features also include anti-hacking secure boot and data protection using digital signatures. Management is made easy with access via the cloud interface and a mobile app, while advanced QoS ensures data flow prioritisation for delay-sensitive applications.
Connectivity
The connectivity options include a total of four Gigabit Ethernet ports. One port serves as an uplink and supports PoE/PoE+ power. 2 ports with PSE power devices while also providing them with a network connection. The last port is a standard Gigabit Ethernet. Power is provided by the active PoE standards 802.3af and 802.3at, which simplifies installation.
