Huawei AP673

Huawei AP673
The Huawei AP673 WiFi access point is a tri-band indoor network device compliant with the Wi-Fi 7 standard, processing data at a total transfer speed of up to 13.66Gbps. This access point uses integrated smart antennas to efficiently propagate the wireless signal in various types of indoor spaces. The device supports a 12V +/- 10% DC power supply or power via an Ethernet cable using the 802.3at PoE standard and is backward compatible with the 802.3af standard. Its power consumption is 21.1W, not including the power consumption of devices connected via USB. The design operates reliably in environments with a relative humidity of 5% to 95% without condensation.
Key features of the Huawei AP673 WiFi access point
- Operates on three frequency bands (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz) for optimal load balancing
- Supports the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard for high throughput and low latency
- Total transfer speed of up to 13.66Gbps for smooth streaming and fast downloads
- Uses MU-MIMO technology for efficient communication with multiple devices simultaneously
- Can be powered via an Ethernet cable thanks to support for 802.3at and 802.3af PoE standards
- Integrated smart antennas optimise indoor signal coverage and strength
- Supports up to 1024 users, with a recommended number of 300 users to ensure stable operation
- Offers two Ethernet ports, including one 5GE port and one with automatic speed detection
Speed and standards
The device transmits simultaneously on three frequency bands. This system effectively prevents mutual interference between connected client stations under high load. It uses MU-MIMO technology and advanced spatial streams for data transmission. The 2.4GHz band supports 802.11b/g/n/ax/be standards, a 40MHz channel width, and a 2×2 MIMO configuration. The 5GHz band works with 802.11a/n/ac/ac Wave 2/ax/be standards, an 80MHz channel width, and a 2×2 MIMO configuration. The 6GHz band uses 802.11a/ax/be standards, a 320MHz channel width, and a 4×4 MIMO configuration.
Coverage and network capacity
This access point propagates a wireless signal up to an optimal distance of 40m in an open space. The transmitter's capacity is suitable for demanding business environments with a high density of wireless terminals. The recommended value for smooth operation without performance degradation is 300 active devices. The combined transmission power is 23dBm in both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and increases to 26dBm in the 6GHz band.
Installation and durability
The round chassis, with a diameter of 22cm and a depth of 4.5cm, is suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting. The design supports mounting on various types of installation boxes and ceiling rails. The integrated smart antennas independently adapt the radiation pattern to the current position of the end devices. The device operates in a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C.
Connectivity
Physical connection to the network is provided by one USB port and two RJ45 Ethernet ports. There is one 5GE RJ45 port with automatic detection of 100/1000/2500/5000Mbps speeds and one GE RJ45 port with automatic detection of 10/100/1000Mbps speeds.
