Detailed picture in 2K resolution
The sensor provides video recordings in 2304 × 1296 resolution at a frame rate of up to 15fps. The fixed lens, with a focal length of 3.6mm, offers viewing angles of 88° horizontally, 45° vertically and 107° screen sizely. Modern H.265 video compression significantly reduces storage requirements and network load while maintaining high image quality.
Flexible night vision modes
The device offers four different modes for monitoring a scene in low-light conditions with a range of up to 20m. In smart mode, the infrared view automatically switches to colour as soon as the integrated system detects suspicious movement. Colour mode uses built-in LED spotlights for a full-colour image in complete darkness, and the night vision can be turned off completely if needed.
Advanced AI detection and active deterrence
The integrated PIR sensor reacts to heat changes in front of the camera, effectively reducing false alarms caused by things like leaves or insects. The person recognition algorithm automatically tracks moving objects in the frame, keeping them in the centre of attention. If the area is breached, the camera can activate a light and sound alarm to deter unwelcome visitors.
Two-way audio with privacy protection
A built-in microphone and speaker enable seamless communication with people near the camera in real time. For increased security and identity protection, the integrated voice changer in the mobile app lets you modify your voice before it is transmitted. You can also use the digital privacy shield, which instantly stops the video stream with a single button press.
Local and cloud recording storage
Recordings of security events can be saved locally on a microSD card up to 256GB. An alternative is the encrypted Imou cloud storage, which keeps a history of videos and is available via a subscription with a trial version. In the app, you can set five different recording modes according to your current power consumption priorities.
Connectivity
Wireless network connection is handled via single-band 2.4GHz WiFi with a range of up to 120m in open terrain. In areas without signal coverage, you can switch the camera to hotspot access point mode and connect to it directly from your mobile phone. The device is managed via the Imou Life mobile app, compatible with iOS and Android operating systems.
