The Inter-Tech IPC 4U 4452-TFT PC case is a specialised chassis for server stations that require mounting in a 19" rack. The 4U high design includes a pull-out console with a keyboard, touchpad and 8.9" TFT display directly in the front panel, which eliminates the need to connect an external monitor in server rooms. The steel body protects the internal components and the lockable door prevents unauthorised access to the data storage. The built-in control console saves rack space and lets network administrators perform system maintenance immediately without looking for additional peripherals. Construction and security
The chassis is based on 1.0 to 1.2mm thick steel, which gives the case the necessary rigidity and stability. The front is protected by a lockable door, behind which there is access to the controls and drive bays. Here you will find two hot-swap bays that support both 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives and allow them to be swapped on the fly. A security lock prevents unauthorised tampering with the data storage and the pair of USB ports on the front panel. In addition, the design allows for the installation of a slim DVD drive, which is made easier by a removable bracket.
Control console and cooling
The built-in TFT monitor with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels connects via a standard DB15 VGA connector and, together with the keyboard, forms a complete control console. Cooling of the internal components is ensured by a well-thought-out airflow system. There are two 80mm fans in the front that draw in cool air and direct it over the drives and into the case. The rear panel offers mounting holes for installing two additional 60mm fans, which can help exhaust warm air out of the case.
Internal layout
The internal layout accepts ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards. The maximum height of the processor cooler can be up to 145mm, while the space for graphics or other expansion cards is up to 280mm long. The system is powered by a standard ATX power supply. Besides the hot-swap bays, the interior offers other data storage options. You can use the internal bays to accommodate one 3.5" drive and two 2.5" drives, with the specific configuration depending on the chosen mounting methour
