Wire communication is via Gigabit Ethernet, so the router will delay the speed of communication. Wireless can provide modern methods such as encryption, access RADIUS, the router also has SPI firewall, which checks incoming packets. It also has an advanced parental control settings, where you can control access to certain web sites, etc. Along with the router i get software that will help with configuration and operation of the network.
