The switch has standardized dimensions of 55 × 55 mm and is thus fully compatible with common multi-gang frames, allowing seamless integration alongside other drivers or sockets. It is designed for fixed installation under plaster and is fixed with screws, with a mounting depth of 27 mm. To fully utilize the capabilities of the Meross Matter Compatible Smart Wi-Fi Roller Shutter Switch you must connect the switch to the Matter hub. The Meross switch is designed to work with leading smart home platforms Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Home. For integration into the Apple system, you can use e.g. HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K. In an Amazon Alexa environment, it works great with Echo Dot (3. -5. Gen. ), Echo Show and other compatible devices. For Google platform users, Nest Hub, Nest Audio or Google Home are ideal. It is also necessary to have a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and a smartphone with at least iOS 16.1 or Android 8.1.
Blue neutral wire is required for operation of the switch
To properly wire the Meross Smart Wi-Fi Roller Shutter Switch, a blue neutral wire is required. This is used to power the smart switch and is keyed for full functionality. The switch is installed in a standard wiring box with a diameter of 60 mm and a depth of at least 35 mm. If the neutral wire is missing from your installation box, it will need to be added (ideally by a specialist). Without this wire, the device will not function properly.
