America vs Russia
An American geological expedition, sent under the auspices of the United Nations, travels to remote areas of Siberia to assess the natural resources there. The expedition penetrates deep into the inhospitable steppes of eastern Russia where, instead of the expected oil deposits, they discover something much more mysterious, a deposit of a previously unknown mineral. The discovery immediately attracts attention as the mineral proves to have the potential to change the world's energy industry. Geologists soon discover that a mysterious substance they call Siberite (known as Alaskite in the American campaign) has incredible energy properties and can generate tremendous power. Both the Soviet Union and the United States immediately take an interest in the site and prepare their armies for the inevitable clash for control of this extraordinary resource.

In Original War PC comes alien technology
American scientists have come up with a revolutionary discovery that could fundamentally change the understanding of not only energy sources, but the universe itself. After a detailed analysis of a newly discovered mineral from Siberia, they discover that its chemical composition is identical to the substance used to power a mysterious alien artifact that has long been in their possession. The artifact, known by the code name EON, is the subject of top secret research and its technological capabilities far exceed current human knowledge. The discovery that the mineral from Siberia is actually the same as the one that powers EON opens up new possibilities not only in the field of energy, but also in understanding extraterrestrial technology.

The artifact's past is mysterious
In 1919, Colonel Emerson, commander of a US military unit transporting war supplies from Vladivostok to the Eastern Front during World War I, discovered a mysterious object near the site of the Tunguska explosion. The discovery, made as part of his military mission, proved to be crucial as it contained unknown and fascinating properties that led to further mysterious research.

Time travel?
US scientists have discovered that capsules housed in a Department of Defense experimental facility can transport objects hundreds of thousands of years back in time. Although they tried to understand its complex design and synthesize its fuel, they were unable to achieve success. As a result, the machine, marked Top Secret, was placed in a secret archive until science made further advances that would allow it to be better understood and used.
