K-70 is a handy compact DSLR camera with APS-C sensor without an AA filter for perfectly natural image highlighting with minimal moire. The newly developed Noise Reduction technology captures ultra-high sensitivity (up to ISO 102400) and captures beautiful, vibrant images not-at-all grainy, even at higher sensitivity settings. Together with the hybrid AF system and advanced image stabilisation, it captures up to 6 frames per second in delicate, 14-bit RAW. In the series you will surely find the shot at the best time and with the perfect sharpness and detail, which ordinary devices don't even come close to.

Reliable Tool

Many photographers get into extreme situations. K-70 camera is sealed against dust and water and can be used for taking photos in cold places (up to -10°C). Reliability in cold weather means stable, responsive and highly accurate operation of mechanisms and circuits, including minimising battery voltage fluctuations. You can easily handle it with one hand in a glove. It has been designed with the utmost care and emphasis on optimal comfort and maximum serviceability. The reworked grip improves hold and control even on the four-way button.

Real Stabilisation

An advanced stabilisation mechanism has been chosen to help you shoot even over long distances or with longer exposure times. Shake Reduction (SR) effectively compensates for camera shake by up to 4.5 EV regardless of lens type. It tilts the image sensor in all directions. The Pixel Shift Resolution System captures 4 shots of the same scene, shifting the image sensor to a single pixel for each image. It then links them into a single image. The result is exceptional sharpness to the smallest detail. This system also has a Motion Correction feature that automatically detects moving objects during continuous scanning.

Sensor under Special Protection

When you change the lens, the sensor is exposed to dust. Therefore, it is coated with a proven SP (Super Protect) layer that prevents dust from clinging to the critical surface of the sensor. If any dust remains on the surface, a special DR (Dust Removal) mechanism with high-speed vibrations will wipe away any dust particles that could interfere with high-level imaging.

Lens is Included in the Package

Pentax-DA 18-135mm offers 7.5x optical zoom in a recalled range of 27 to 202.5 mm. It also benefits from water resistance, making it possible to create a durable combination with some Pentax cameras (e.g. K-3 II). The luminosity is traditionally with F3.5-5.6.
