Polaroid Colour i-Type Film – Black Frame Edition

Polaroid Colour i-Type Film – Black Frame Edition
Polaroid colour film i-Type Black allows for the instant development of colour photographs as soon as you press the shutter button on a compatible camera. This pack contains eight sheets of instant photo paper, measuring 108×89mm in total, with a matte black frame. The chemical emulsion reacts to light without needing power from the cartridge, as the film does not have a built-in battery. The images have a square picture area measuring 79×77mm, and the entire chemical development process happens automatically as soon as the photo is ejected from the camera. This photo material is produced in a factory within the European Union. The production lines build on the tradition of classic instant photography. Each batch is inspected to ensure the consistent properties of the chemical layers. The last Polaroid film factory maintains precise technological processes when applying the emulsion.

Colour emulsion
The chemical composition of the photographic emulsion creates rich colours and sharp details in every shot. The manufacturer is constantly improving the composition of the sensitive layer in its own R&D laboratories. The images exhibit high stability and faithful skin tones in daylight. This 100% Polaroid chemistry reacts to the light during exposure and preserves the captured colours in their original form.
Matte black border
Each picture has a dark border that distinguishes the photos from standard white versions. This contrasting element enhances the colour tones of the captured scene and gives your photos a unique look. The matte black finish of the frame does not reflect light and frames the captured composition, creating a contrast with the colourful chemistry of the image area.
Device compatibility
The film works with selected types of cameras that have their own battery. The film cartridge does not contain an integrated power cell, which reduces the overall weight of the package. Users can use the material in Polaroid i-2, Flip, Now, Now+, Onestep 2, and OneStep+ cameras, or in the Polaroid Lab printer. This type of film is not compatible with older, vintage Polaroid cameras.
Image development speed and emulsion sensitivity
The entire process of creating a physical photograph takes only a few minutes from the moment of exposure. The first outlines of the image appear within minutes of leaving the camera body. Full rendering of all colours and details occurs within ten to fifteen minutes. During this time, it is advisable to protect the image from direct light to allow the chemical reactions to proceed correctly. The photographic material has a sensitivity of ASA 640, which requires plenty of light. For optimal results, we recommend shooting on a bright day or using the camera's built-in flash. This sensitivity provides fine grain and correct exposure in outdoor environments. The sensitivity value is tailored to the chemical properties of i-Type film emulsions to achieve a balanced contrast.
