The QNAP QMiro WiFi system functions as a tri-band WiFi 5 network device, transferring data at speeds of up to 1734Mbps on the 5GHz band. Wi-Fi connectivity
The device works with the 802.11ac standard and uses three frequency bands to efficiently distribute network load. The distribution of speeds across the individual bands prevents congestion when multiple clients are connected at the same time. The wireless network operates on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. The transfer speed reaches up to 400Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and up to 1734Mbps on the 5GHz band.
Mesh technology and coverage
This system creates a unified Mesh network under a single name and uses Wi-Fi Handover technology for seamless switching of mobile devices to the strongest node. A single standalone router covers an area of up to 195m², and each additional connected node extends the coverage by the same amount. You can connect up to four units within a single location to create a stable network for large spaces.
Security
Data is protected on several levels through encryption standards and an integrated firewall. The system supports advanced VPN functions for secure remote connection to the company network and tools for managing access for household members. The main security features include WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA-Enterprise, and WPA2-Enterprise encryption protocols, VPN support, and parental controls.
Connectivity options
Physical connection of peripheral devices and the internet source is handled by high-speed Ethernet ports. There is one gigabit WAN port and one gigabit LAN port available. The entire device is powered by an adapter with an output voltage of 12V. The setup is completed by one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port for connecting external storage within the local network.
