The QNAP TS-464-8G NAS is designed for storing, backing up and sharing data in home and business environments. The device accommodates up to four SATA 6Gb/s hard drives or SSDs. A quad-core Intel Celeron N5095 processor and 8GB of DDR4 RAM handle network requests at high speed for smooth file access. The tower design measures 168×170×226mm and weighs 2.26kg without drives. This system offers a stable platform for centralising data, protecting sensitive information and running network applications on your local network. Support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10 disk arrays ensures reliable protection of stored data. The system uses an AES-NI-supported encryption engine for secure storage of sensitive personal and company files without sacrificing performance. A single 120mm fan cools the internal components. The device also includes a Kensington security lock slot. Typical power consumption during operation is 40.54W, dropping to 21.618W in disk sleep mode.

Powerful processor and memory
At the heart of the system is a quad-core, four-thread Intel Celeron N5095 processor with a clock speed of up to 2.9GHz. The 8GB of DDR4 SODIMM RAM supports the smooth running of multiple applications simultaneously without unnecessary lag. Users can expand the memory up to 16GB via two memory slots if required. Fast network connection
The network storage offers two integrated 2.5GbE LAN ports for fast data transfers on the local network. The device achieves read speeds of up to 295MB/s and write speeds of up to 294MB/s. An integrated PCIe Gen 3 × 2 slot provides space for installing add-on cards with 10GbE or 5GbE support. These expansion options enable flexible upgrades to your network infrastructure to meet growing business demands. The ports also support Wake on LAN and Jumbo Frame functions.
Storage expansion options
Users can insert 3.5" and 2.5" SATA HDDs or fast SATA SSDs into the four bays. Two integrated M.2 PCIe Gen 3 × 1 slots are used to fit fast NVMe drives to accelerate disk caching using SSD Cache technology. The total storage capacity exceeds 100TB. The hard drive bays support hot-swapping for easy maintenance and capacity expansion without having to shut down the entire system.
Graphics output and multimedia
The integrated Intel UHD Graphics processor handles hardware-accelerated real-time video transcoding. A single HDMI 2.1 output port streams 4K video at 60Hz directly to a compatible monitor or TV. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with 10Gb/s speed and two standard USB 2.0 ports are available for connecting external devices and fast data transfer. The system also supports an optional remote control via an integrated infrared sensor.
QTS operating system
The entire network storage is managed by the built-in QTS 5.2.9 operating system. A clear graphical interface simplifies the configuration of file sharing via SAMBA, HFS or CIFS protocols across Windows, Mac and Linux systems. Users can also take advantage of the integrated cloud server, FTP server, iSCSI services or web server. The system includes an App Center for installing additional tools for backup, synchronisation, and multimedia management.
