Data protection and NAS optimisation
IronWolf drives include a three-year Rescue Data Recovery Services for data recovery in case of mechanical damage, accidents, or external events, provided by the manufacturer's specialised service. They are optimised for NAS systems with high data volumes and multiple simultaneous access, using CMR technology for a higher workload and stable operation. AgileArray firmware manages data writing and supports operation in RAID configurations.
Software and CMR technology
IronWolf Health Management (IHM) software is included with IronWolf drives to monitor drive health, provide maintenance recommendations, and more accurately predict potential failures in NAS systems. IronWolf drives use Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) technology and are equipped with vibration sensors for stable operation in multi-drive setups. They support workloads of up to 550TB per year, which meets the demands of commercial and enterprise NAS solutions.
