The Pentaceratops measured 7.5m in length, and when it stood up, it was 2.5m tall. It lived about 73-75 million years ago. Its name is derived from the fact that besides the three conventional horns (two overhead and one on the snout), it had two smaller horns that were down under its eyes. Interestingly, due to the very long "collar", this genus has the longest skull of all dinosaurs (and terrestrial animals). The record specimen of the skull measured 3.1 metres.
