The TP-Link EAP770, Omada BE9300 WiFi access point features the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard and delivers a combined transfer speed of up to 9335Mbps for high-density environments. This tri-band access point operates on the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands, which offer cleaner and wider Wi-Fi band resources. For efficient signal distribution and serving a large number of clients, it uses advanced MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies, which optimise communication with multiple devices at once. Wi-Fi 7 performance and management
The 802.11be standard, at the heart of the device, divides the total speed of 9335Mbps into three bands: 5765Mbps in the 6GHz band, 2882Mbps in the 5GHz band, and 688Mbps in the 2.4GHz band. Technologies like MLO (Multi-Link Operation) for simultaneous data transmission across multiple bands and a bandwidth of up to 320MHz significantly increase network throughput. 4K-QAM modulation increases the amount of data transmitted in a single symbol, which, combined with Multi-RU, reduces latency and interference. Thanks to full integration with the Omada platform, this access point supports Mesh technology and seamless roaming according to 802.11k/v/r standards. This creates a unified network with seamless client handover between access points without connection dropouts. A single device covers an area of up to 140m² and serves more than 380 connected clients simultaneously. You can manage the entire network centrally via the Omada Controller (hardware, software, or cloud-based) or the Omada mobile app.
Advanced security and access control
To protect the network and company data, the access point offers modern WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise encryption standards. Administrators have a suite of tools for detailed access control and network segmentation. This includes creating virtual networks using VLANs and client isolation, which prevents unwanted communication between connected devices. The security features also include rogue access point detection, MAC address filtering, and guest authentication via a Captive Portal.
Power options and connectivity
Flexible installation is supported by dual power options. You can power the device either via PoE (802.3at) using a single Ethernet cable for both data and power, or with the included external 12V / 2.5A adapter, which comes in the box. For connecting to the backbone network, the access point includes one 2.5G Ethernet port, which fully utilises the speed potential of the Wi-Fi 7 standard without any cabling bottlenecks.
