TP-LINK TL-WR842ND

The TP-LINK TL-WR842ND multi-function wireless N router boasts a transmission rate of up to 300 Mbit/s, ensuring smooth running of the most demanding applications, HD video streaming, online gaming, Skype calls including video calls or speedy file transfer from one device to another. Using its FTP server function, the router provides various applications such as downloading personal data from home or backing up files to a home HDD. The multi-functional USB 2.0 port enables wireless printing. The router supports VPN tunnels for secure remote VPN connections

USB port

The TP-LINK router allows you to print even from a printer which is not equipped with any Wi-Fi technology — by using any computer on your network. Connect your printer using the USB port to avoid moving it around.
Get maximum freedom and work in comfort.

The USB port also enables connection of various external storages, such as flash drives or external drives, accessible to all network users. Speedy and safe data sharing has never been easier.

Easy access

Based on the IPSec protocol, the router allows users to setup up to 5 VPN tunnels with IKE (Internet Key Exchange) protocol on various encryption algorithms (DES/3DES/AES) and authentication algorithms (MD5/SHA1). It’s convenient for users to connect to their home or office networks wherever the Internet is available.

Secure connection

Secure your network in a simple way. The WPS support (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) allows an instant network security setup with a single push of the WPS button, ensuring WPA2 encryption, which offers a higher degree of security than WEP encryption. What is more, now you don't need to remember a password!

Equal connection

Split your internet connection evenly among all network users. If your connection is not fast enough, some users may experience difficulties when using the Internet. IP based bandwidth control allows you to determine how much bandwidth is allotted to each PC to raise its efficiency.

Easy setup

With the included CD, the setup is very easy. Enter the information and parameters step by step and the program will help you with the security and Wi-Fi network setup. Newbies don't need to panic — the setup couldn't be more intuitive.
