The UniFi LTE Backup Pro modem provides a backup mobile connection with the ability to take over service in the event of an internet failure. This is a Cat 4 LTE device that can only work with a UniFi Security Gateway or UniFi Dream Machine, and requires UniFi Network Controller version 5.14.0 or higher. The modem is designed for use in the EU and supports European LTE bands (1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28) and WCDMA (1 and 8). LTE coverage and speed depends on the quality and speed of your mobile network. The modem has two WAN/LAN ports with 1 Gbit speed, a nano SIM card slot, a display and a powerful built-in LTE antenna. The included mounting kit makes it easy to install the unit on a wall or other smooth surface.

Support PoE IN and PoE OUT
The Ubiquiti UniFi LTE Backup Pro modem is powered by a Power over Ethernet (PoE) port with 802.3af/at PoE (for example, via a UniFI PoE Switch), so you can easily place the device wherever the best signal is, without having to stretch another cable. The modem is also equipped with a secondary port that allows for bridging and passive PoE pass-through, allowing you to connect a camera or other device. A mounting kit with screws is included to make it easy to install the unit on a wall or stick it to a flat surface.

The UniFi LTE Backup Pro LTE router has a high-quality built-in LTE antenna with 6 dBi gain, which ensures effective indoor signal coverage. If you need an even stronger signal, you can connect an external antenna with higher gain to the modem via the SMA connector (female) located on the bottom of the device. There is also a 1.54" display that shows important information about the modem's performance and status, such as whether the device is in active mode or LTE data usage for a given period.
