Ubiquiti Wave-Nano-EU

Ubiquiti Wave-Nano-EU
The Ubiquiti Wave-Nano outdoor parabolic antenna is used for wireless data transmission in the 60GHz band as a client station in point-to-multipoint networks. The device uses Wave Technology for high-speed, long-distance transmissions. Its construction withstands the effects of the outdoor environment within a temperature range of -40 to 60°C at 5 to 95% humidity and meets the IP66 rating specification. The hardware includes a dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM. Wave AI technology optimises transmission parameters in real time. The device uses automatic channel tuning to avoid interference in the surrounding environment. It uses one gigabit ethernet port with PoE support to connect to the network.

Key Features of the Ubiquiti Wave-Nano-EU WiFi Antenna
- The antenna has a gain of 41dBi
- The device supports the 802.11ay standard in the 60GHz band
- The wireless connection has a total throughput of 2Gb/s
- The device has a range of 5,000m
- The construction has an IP66 rating
- The main radio is complemented by a backup system on the 5GHz frequency
- The unit has a dual-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor
- Power is supplied using standard passive PoE

High Throughput
The device transmits data at a total speed of up to 2Gb/s. The main radio part uses the 60GHz band with the 802.11ay standard, which is complemented by a backup 5GHz radio with the 802.11ax standard. This system prevents connection dropouts in adverse weather by automatically switching to the backup frequency. The directional characteristic with a 30° beamwidth focuses the signal into a narrow beam.

Mounting and Alignment
The aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate construction can withstand a wind load of 127N at speeds of up to 200km/h. The included bracket, made of the same materials, is used for installation on a mast with a diameter of 25 to 63.5mm. Precise aiming is facilitated by the integrated GPS receiver for synchronisation and tracking of the unit's position in the field. The weight of the body itself without the bracket is 930g.

Management via the UISP System
Administration is performed remotely via the central UISP platform from version 1.4.5. This software offers clear traffic statistics, parameter configuration and firmware updates. The network administrator can perform cable tests and speed measurements directly from the user interface. Diagnostic tools such as Ping, Site Survey, and Traceroute, as well as support for SNMP and NTP protocols, are also available. The device meets the NDAA standard requirements.

Stable Power Supply
Power is supplied via passive PoE with a supported voltage range of 44 to 54V or 22 to 27V. A gigabit PoE adapter with a 48V DC output is included. The device's power consumption does not exceed 20W at full load. LED indicators on the back show the status of the power, ethernet activity, GPS signal and wireless connection strength.

Network Setting Options
The unit operates in Bridge or Router modes depending on the requirements of the specific network topology. Wireless security uses WPA2-PSK encryption with the AES algorithm. Integrated traffic management functions support the setting of transmission speed limits. The Ping Watchdog system monitors connection activity and performs an automatic restart in case of a failure.
