Advanced data security
Hardware encryption protects your sensitive files from unauthorised access. The drive encrypts data directly at the hardware level, so it doesn't burden your computer's system resources. It uses the 256-bit AES standard to encrypt and protect your content. The security level is further enhanced by password protection, which you can activate using the included software.
Automatic backups
The included Acronis True Image for Western Digital software simplifies scheduling regular backups. This tool lets you set up automatic file saving according to your own schedule. The software backs up individual files and applications, or even your entire operating system. Its features also include defence against ransomware attacks, which helps protect your data from being encrypted and lost.
