High firewall performance and flexible port configuration
The device uses modern multi-core hardware with FastPath acceleration, which significantly increases network traffic processing efficiency. The modern uOS operating system speeds up the overall system response and simplifies the configuration of security rules for administrators. This device offers a total of 8 ports with a speed of 1Gbit for flexible configuration of the internal LAN or external WAN connection. It also includes one 802.3at standard PoE+ port with a total power of 30W for directly powering connected network elements. For connecting other peripherals, it offers one high-speed USB 3.0 port.
Secure branch connectivity and centralised cloud management
Support for Nebula Auto VPN technology makes it easy to connect individual company branches without the need for complex manual setup. The device supports the creation of up to 50 concurrent IPsec VPN tunnels and connects up to 25 SSL VPN users simultaneously. Secure, encrypted data transmission protects sensitive company information when transferred over the public internet. The Nebula platform provides a complete overview of the network status, connected clients, and applications used from a single centralised interface. The Smart Sync function automatically synchronises security policies and network settings between the cloud and the local interface. The SecuReporter tool offers detailed analyses of network behaviour and helps to detect anomalies in time.
Advanced network features and an integrated wireless controller
The device supports network segmentation into up to 16 VLANs for effective isolation of individual departments or guest users. Quality of Service (QoS) control helps to prioritise critical business applications and ensures a stable bandwidth for voice services. Network traffic is optimised by IGMP and DHCP snooping features which prevent the unwanted spread of packets. The built-in WiFi controller enables direct management and configuration of connected Zyxel access points from one place. This lets the network administrator easily implement uniform security profiles for both the wired and wireless parts of the infrastructure.
