AKASA Gecko Pro
AKASA Gecko Pro
The AKASA Gecko Pro passive M.2 SSD cooler effectively dissipates heat, preventing thermal throttling in modern M.2 NVMe PCIe and SATA drives. Its aluminium construction operates on a purely passive principle, which means completely silent operation with no moving parts. By providing proper cooling, it prevents undesirable drops in data transfer speeds during intensive workloads, such as working with large files or gaming. It thus contributes to consistent performance and supports a longer lifespan for your SSD's memory cells.
Key Features of the AKASA Gecko Pro Hard Drive Cooler
- Horizontal fin design takes advantage of the airflow within the PC case
- Reduces drive temperature by up to 10% compared to standard coolers
- Installation is secure thanks to a combination of strong clips and screws
- A high-performance silicone thermal pad is included in the package
- The design is adapted for single-sided M.2 SSD drives
- The cooler works with M.2 NVMe PCIe and SATA drives
Horizontal Fin Design
The cooler uses an intelligent design with horizontally oriented fins. This arrangement better complements the airflow from the CPU cooler, thus more effectively dissipating heat from the drive's surface. Compared to conventional coolers with vertical fins, it achieves a temperature reduction of up to 10%. A combination of strong clips and screws ensures a firm and secure mounting on single-sided M.2 SSDs. Heat transfer between the drive and the cooler is improved by the included silicone thermal pad.
