AMD has recently launched a brand new generation of graphics cards. The first wave includes a special model designed primarily for machine learning and advanced visualisation. The AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition Liquid will surprise you with its tremendous performance, though keep in mind that the card is not suitable for use in gaming computers.

Key features of AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition Liquid

• Top-notch graphics card with water cooling
• Designed exclusively for professional use - machine learning, rendering, or virtual reality application development
• Has surpassed the competing model NVIDIA Titan Xp in a number of tests
• Floating point performance 13.1 TFLOPS (32-bit operations) and 26.2 TFLOPS (16-bit operations)

AMD Radeon Vega graphics chip

The brand new graphics chip contains 4096 stream processors in 64 computing blocks. With this impressive combination, you get an incredible data bandwidth of up to 483GB/s. Due to these parameters, the card’s relatively high power consumption of 375W is entirely understandable. The card is powered through two 8-pin connectors.

16GB of HBM2 memory

HBM2 is a new type of 3D memory that puts all the other memory types to shame. HBM2 is designed to be able to use the computer’s system memory, accessible via PCI Express, while maintaining high performance. This allows the GPU to work with much more data than normal. For example, 8GB of HBM2 memory can handle the same workload as 16GB of GDDR5.
