The DeepCool AG400 G2 WH processor cooler dissipates heat from the computer's processor into the surrounding air. The single-tower system uses an aluminium heatsink and one 120mm fan for cooling. The design directs the airflow horizontally through the fins to maintain low hardware operating temperatures. Cooler heat pipes
The cooling system uses four 6mm copper heat pipes that make direct contact with the processor cover. The pipes conduct heat from the metal base to the aluminium fins. The optimised internal capillary structure of the pipes and a precisely measured amount of liquid inside helps the coolant's efficient phase transition regardless of the vertical or horizontal position of the computer case. This principle reduces thermal resistance across the entire design thermal power range and accelerates energy transfer to the aluminium heatsink.
Fan with automatic regulation
The supplied 120mm fan changes its rotational speed in the range of 500 to 2200rpm. Automatic speed control via the four-pin PWM connector adapts the speed to the current processor temperature. The fan creates an airflow of up to 70.09CFM and a static pressure of 2.49mmH2O. The design uses seven semi-integral shaped blades that direct the airflow between the aluminium fins of the heatsink. The fan operates with a supply voltage of 12V and a power consumption of 2.16W.
Cooler design
The compact single-tower design, measuring 125×152×92mm, does not interfere with the space for RAM. Users can install memory modules with any cooler height without the risk of collision with the fan. The total weight of the cooling system is 0.631kg, including the fitted fan. The heatsink's narrow profile simplifies component layout on the motherboard and makes it easier to access the power connectors around the processor socket. The metal parts have a white finish.
Heat dissipation performance
The aluminium passive cooler with dense finning manages heat dissipation for processors. The capacity is sufficient for cooling modern multi-core processors under prolonged load. The dense arrangement of the aluminium fins increases the total surface area for dissipating heat into the surroundings. The specific checkerboard matrix fin design optimises airflow while reducing air resistance as it passes through the heatsink, increasing cooling efficiency at lower speeds.
Installation
The mounting system allows the cooler to be installed without having to first remove the fan from the heatsink. The entire fastening process consists of five simple steps. The metal mounting brackets apply the necessary pressure for both Intel and AMD processors. The bracket design maintains a stable attachment even when the computer is being transported.
Fan hydro bearing
The fan uses a hydro bearing, which reduces friction of moving parts during operation. This design solution keeps the noise level below 29.22dB at full speed. It requires a 12V supply with a power consumption of 2.16W. The fan's rated current is 0.18A. The hydro bearing contributes to quiet operation and stable fan rotation. The bearing system effectively dampens vibrations and limits noise transfer to the aluminium body of the cooler.
